National building envelope and major facades specialist Lakesmere Group has further strengthened its team with the appointment of three new project directors.

Mike Adams, John McWilliams and Geoff Stothert are all familiar faces at Lakesmere and bring with them several years’ construction industry experience and project delivery expertise.

Mike Adams, who has been promoted from his role of construction manager, has a wealth of experience in the delivery of some of the specialist’s most challenging contracts including the Here East digital cluster at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Having previously worked in the role of project director for Lakesmere in the Middle East, John McWilliams has significant experience in managing complex infrastructure projects and played a key role in the delivery of the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

Geoff Stothert has an established career in senior construction roles delivering major schemes both in the UK and overseas. As project director, Geoff will be heavily involved in the management and delivery of various building envelope contracts including the Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE)’s new Technology Development Centre in Reading and The Highwood, a 31-storey residential tower in London’s Elephant & Castle.

In their new positions, the trio will play a vital role in the delivery of Lakesmere’s strong order book which includes several contracts as part of the Crossrail development.

Commenting on the new appointments, Andy McKechnie, regional managing director for Lakesmere said: “Mike, Geoff and John have proved themselves to be valuable members of the Lakesmere team and I am delighted that their skills and expertise will now be incorporated into my senior management team.

In their new roles, they will have collective responsibility for the delivery of current and future major projects, playing a vital part in Lakesmere’s ongoing journey. I wish them every success and look forward to working with them more closely going forward”.
